Great news for Harry Potter fans! The legendary Dame Shirley Bassey, who inspired the character of Celestina Warbeck, is officially lending her incredible singing voice to the new Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions. This exciting announcement comes just as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second audiobook in the series, is set to release on December 16th, 2025.

Dame Shirley Bassey won't just be voicing Molly Weasley’s favorite magical singer; she has also recorded three brand-new, original songs for the full-cast audio experience. We’ve even heard a snippet of “You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart,” which features in Chamber of Secrets and was composed by Ashley Griffin.

Fans can look forward to even more musical magic as the series continues. Two additional songs, “A Cauldron Full of Hot, Strong Love” by Ashley Griffin and “You Charmed The Heart Right Out of Me” by Kezia Tomsett, will appear in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. These are titles any true fan knows hold a special place in Molly Weasley's heart. The music itself is quite grand, featuring a 17-piece big band recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, with Dame Shirley’s own spectacular vocals captured at Miraval Studios in France. This really promises to be a Harry Potter experience unlike any other.

Dame Shirley shared her thoughts on this magical endeavor: “I’m honoured to have been an inspiration for the original character of Celestina Warbeck in the Harry Potter series. Bringing her music to life in this ambitious project from Pottermore Publishing and Audible was a joy, and I hope these songs throughout the audiobooks offer a truly magical listening experience for fans worldwide.”

The first audiobook, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone, is already available. With Chamber of Secrets arriving soon, expect more installments to drop monthly, bringing the entire saga to life in this unique audio format.
