It’s finally here, Potterheads! HBO has conjured up the very first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Harry Potter television series, and it's everything we could have hoped for. The footage offers a truly exciting peek into the world of Hogwarts, hinting at the faithful adaptation we've been promised.

The new trailer prominently features our core trio, with Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. It’s clear they've captured the essence of these beloved characters, and seeing them in action for the first time is genuinely thrilling.

We also got quick glimpses of some of the legendary Hogwarts staff and other familiar faces. John Lithgow embodies Albus Dumbledore with gravitas, while Paapa Essiedu delivers an intriguing, intense Severus Snape. Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid also make memorable appearances, looking perfectly cast. The Dursleys, Daniel Rigby as Vernon and Bel Powley as Petunia, promise a return to their wonderfully awful antics. Even Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy looks set to be the perfect foil.

But that’s not all! The trailer reveal also comes with a firm confirmation of the series' debut. Get ready to return to the wizarding world in early 2027, as HBO officially sets the premiere window. This aligns perfectly with the ongoing production at Leavesden Studios, which began in summer 2025 and is expected to wrap filming by mid-2026. The series is still on track for its ambitious plan of seven seasons, each adapting one of J.K. Rowling's books in greater depth than ever before.
